About

I’m an Australian artist working primarily in painting and drawing, with a practice rooted in abstract expressionism. My work explores the shifting space between the external world and the internal self—often drawing on natural forms and landscapes to reflect on ecological change and the human experience.

For me, making art is both intuitive and deeply personal. Each piece begins as a response to memory, emotion, or place, and evolves through a process of layering, erasing, and reworking. I’m fascinated by the materiality of paint—how it resists, flows, and settles—and I spend time with each work until a kind of balance emerges from the tension in the marks. That slow, deliberate process is central to how I work.

There’s a meditative quality to my practice—a quiet withdrawal that allows me to listen more closely to what’s unfolding on the surface. I aim to create spaces that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with something beyond the immediate.

Alongside my studio practice, I’ve built a career in arts education, management, and community engagement. I hold a Master of Fine Art from UNSW and have exhibited my work nationally and internationally. My work is held in public and private collections in Australia and abroad.

Through all of this, I’m driven by a desire to make work that resonates—visually, emotionally, and conceptually—and to contribute meaningfully to the broader conversation in contemporary art.
